Planters Bank Updated Mon January 20, 2025 Published Under: Financial Education Planters Bank has a new authentication step for our customers when they use their Planters Bank check card for online purchases. It is being implemented to mitigate fraud and unauthorized use of check/debit card payments online. The six-digit one-time passcode is a randomly generated number that will be texted or emailed to our cardholders in connection with their card account when a transaction is being challenged.A dialogue box will appear during checkout if a transaction is challenged due to fraud risk. The dialogue box will ask the cardholder to select a channel to which they’d like to receive the secure code (email or text). The email or text will be sent to the email address or cell number kept on file, so that information needs to be kept updated. Next, cardholders will receive the text or email with the one-time passcode to enter in the dialogue box to complete the transaction. Lastly, if the code is entered correctly the transaction will be approved as normal. If the code is entered incorrectly, they will have 3 attempts to enter the correct code. After 3 failed attempts the transaction will be denied. If the cardholder has not received the code after selecting the delivery channel, they will have the option to resend the code. If they never receive the code, it’s likely that we don’t have the correct email address or cell number in our system. For SMS Text Messages, they will come from the number: 33072For Email Messages, they will come from the email address: noreply@enfactnotifications.comAll One-Time Passcodes are six-digits long. The customer will NEVER be asked to enter any personal information when they receive the code from either text message or email.
