SEED Grant Winner

Planters Bank is pleased to announce the recipient of the SEED Grant is R3 Cabinets. In February, Planters Bank hosted the inaugural SEED Summit for those interested in starting or expanding their small business and subsequently announced the SEED Grant Competition. A business plan pitch contest in its first year, the SEED Grant Competition had a goal of supporting an emerging or expanding business in the Planters Bank service area.

“With a goal of connecting, supporting, and educating small businesses, we established the SEED program. Over the course of the past several months, we have seen such enthusiasm and commitment to our communities through the small businesses participating in the SEED programming,” said Planters Bank CEO Elizabeth McCoy.

Selected by four judges, R3 Cabinets’ goal is to “deliver the right cabinets, at the right place, at the right time – always, committing to a painless customer experience every time.” With a unique approach to streamlining the value chain between cabinet manufacturers and local installers and general contractor teams, the judges established that R3 Cabinets’ commitment to efficiency truly did set them apart in the competition.

R3 Cabinets shared, “We can’t thank Planters Bank enough for their vision in putting this program together to invest in our great community. The Planters Bank team truly helped not only our business, but everyone who had the opportunity to attend their workshops and compete in the competition. It was an invaluable experience for our company to accelerate a successful startup, and we look forward to continuing to partner with Planter’s Bank to support future community events.”
